Local BBC radio said gentle SW so I was pleasantly surprised to see sailors planing on 5.3 and 5.8 with wind from the west. Rigged 5.8 and wind dropped a little, but went out on FSW 100 and had a decent session. Second session was even better with a good hour of almost non-stop planing. Planing gybes were coming together so tried flat water waveriding - carving downwind with both feet in the straps. Usually manage to trip or stall doing this, but the RRD FSW certainly helps and I was starting to get the hang of it. Should pay off next time I'm at the coast.

Excellent afternoon, much better than expected from the forecast.
